ARIS Books: Where Your Ideas Become Unbound . . . Then Bound!

ARIS Books is our author-contributive imprint — some call it a hybrid — for writers who have a great idea that needs to be heard . . . but who may not have the platform to broadcast it just yet.
First-time authors, seasoned writers, and professionals who need to establish their author-ity will find a welcoming home here.
No literary agent required.
Your Book Wants to Get Out . . .
You have a book.
You’ve written it once.
Then again.
And yet again.
You may even have let some of your friends read it. Maybe.
Now it is time to bring that book into the world.
Because you have thoughts and experiences to share. You have readers to reach. And you have a dream to attain.
You know people are going to love your book.
Now it is time to grab your chance to earn that most coveted of titles:
A published author.
You can do that—and considerably more—with ARIS Books.
About ARIS Books
ARIS Books is an imprint of Kallisti Publishing Inc., an independent publisher of personal development, inspirational, and practical books.
After years of working with respected writers, speakers, entrepreneurs, professionals, and thought leaders, we noticed something.
There are many promising authors with good books, important experiences, and worthwhile ideas—but without all the elements traditional publishing now expects to find neatly assembled and waiting.
Perhaps the author is publishing for the first time.
Perhaps the platform is still being built.
Perhaps the subject serves a focused audience rather than several million strangers.
Perhaps the book simply needs a publisher willing to see what it can become.
That is why we created ARIS Books.
ARIS Books serves writers who have something significant to share and a future they want to build.
We take you from manuscript to marketplace—with honest evaluation, professional editorial development, thoughtful design, careful production, retail availability, and a publisher who remains involved after the book is released.
What Does “Author-Contributive” Mean?
It means the author contributes toward the professional development and publication of the book.
ARIS Books supplies the publishing judgment, editorial direction, professional team, production experience, and continuing support needed to bring that book into the world.
You do not have to search for editors, interview designers, manage production schedules, wrestle with book files, or figure out how your finished book reaches the marketplace.
You bring us the book.
We bring everybody else.
One Contribution. One Publisher. No Nickel-and-Diming.
Every accepted project receives a clear publishing proposal explaining what the book needs, what ARIS Books will provide, and what the author’s contribution will be.
Ordinary editorial and production work included in the proposal is included. We do not count every correction round, hold the manuscript hostage over another invoice, or turn the publishing process into a parade of little upcharges.
If a project requires something unusual—extensive illustration, permissions, indexing, an audiobook, a large print run, or another exceptional expense—we identify it before the agreement is signed.
Author contributions for first books generally begin at $16,000 and vary according to the manuscript and the work required.
No mysteries. No trapdoors. No unpleasant surprises halfway through the book.
Just a clearly defined publishing project and a team committed to doing the work properly.
Here’s What We’re Looking For . . .
Are you a speaker, trainer, consultant, entrepreneur, or sales professional who has written the book that can lead your field?
Let’s talk. Like, now.
Did you write the great American novel? A super-sleuth mystery? A memoir that refuses to be forgotten? A history that deserves to be remembered? A fantasy world nobody has visited before?
Send it our way.
Did you write about yourself? Someone else? Something everyone else seems to have missed?
Let’s see what you’ve got.
Fiction. Nonfiction. Biography. Business. Memoir. Poetry. Personal development. History. Inspiration. The wonderfully strange manuscript that does not fit neatly onto anybody’s shelf.
We have a broad editorial range and firm professional standards.
We do not publish every manuscript we receive. Money alone does not purchase an acceptance letter.
But send us what you are thinking. We will give you our honest appraisal and tell you whether we believe ARIS Books can help make it real.
Why Choose ARIS Books?
We have been in the book business for a long time.
And we plan on being in it even longer.
Our editors and designers work with you to make your book market-ready, reader-ready, and ready to represent you proudly.
We do not simply take the manuscript exactly as it arrived, convert it into a file, upload it somewhere, and wave goodbye.
We evaluate it.
We question it.
We strengthen it.
We design it.
We publish it.
And then we continue looking for ways to help the book—and its author—move forward.
It is one thing to have a book.
It is another thing entirely to have a publisher behind it.
The ARIS Books Manifesto
We believe every person has a book within them.
Each of us possesses experiences, ideas, lessons, stories, and perspectives that no one else can offer in quite the same way.
A book gives those ideas a life beyond the moment in which they were first imagined.
At ARIS Books, our mission is to give serious authors the professional means to bring those ideas into the world.
We believe your book deserves our highest effort—delivered clearly and simply.
Publishing can be confusing.
The publishing world is filled with complicated processes, unclear promises, dazzling terminology, mysterious expenses, and more than a few unpleasant actualities.
We prefer clarity.
We explain what the book needs, what we will do, what we need from you, what it will cost, and what happens next.
From exacting editorial standards to professional design and production, an ARIS Book is made to compete with professionally published books everywhere—and to make its own small dent in the publishing landscape.
We believe good ideas deserve an opportunity to become real.
First-time authors. CEOs with important ideas. Professionals building authority. Storytellers with shelves of earlier books. Writers who have finally finished the manuscript that has been following them around for years.
All deserve the opportunity to make the finest book they can.
Instead of beginning with, How famous are you? we would rather begin with:
Is there a good book here?
Then we go from there.
ARIS Books May Be a Great Fit for You If . . .
- You want your book to accomplish something specific and are ready to work with a respected professional team.
- You want an agreed publishing schedule—not an indefinite wait for something to happen.
- You want to be an author and writer—not a production manager, metadata specialist, warehouse operator, or envelope stuffer.
- You do not want to hire and coordinate every editor, proofreader, designer, and production professional yourself.
- You want meaningful creative input into your book’s editing, cover, and design.
- You want more than a printed version of the manuscript exactly as you submitted it.
- You welcome professional editing and honest advice that can take the book to the next level.
- You want a high-quality book produced by people who know what they are doing.
- You do not want to figure out the publishing and retail marketplace alone.
- You want a publisher who remains involved after publication.
- You are willing to do the necessary work—and want someone to guide you through it step by step.
Sound good so far?
Your Book Gets the Attention It Needs
Our editorial process involves considerably more than taking your manuscript, converting it into book files, and distributing those files to retail outlets.
We help you define what the book is trying to accomplish, whom it needs to reach, and what must change before it can do its job properly.
Throughout the process, you will work with editors, designers, production professionals, and the publisher to create a book that supports the goals you have established.
And publication is not the end of the relationship.
Once the book is released, we continue watching for opportunities to promote it, introduce it to readers, and help the author move forward.
Because publishing a book should not feel like being pushed out of an airplane.
We remain in the plane with you.
Our Authors
We are very proud of the authors we work with and the books we have created together.
Ready to Let Your Book Out?
We are glad you are considering ARIS Books.
Send us your manuscript, proposal, sample chapters, or book idea. Tell us what you have written, why you wrote it, whom you hope to reach, and what you want the finished book to accomplish.
We will give it an honest evaluation.
If we believe there is a book here—and that ARIS Books is the right publisher for it—we will show you the book we see and explain what happens next.
You have kept your book inside long enough.
Let it out.
